There are no lock in contracts! You can stop the service at anytime.
Yes, for Regular cleaning you will always have the same housekeeper. Your housekeeper will be committed to their schedule and service your home on the same day and time on a recurring basis. If your housekeeper is sick we will endeavour to to arrange a replacement housekeeper for you.
The cleaning service is charged hourly. The cleaning prices are available on our website.
You don’t need to be home for the cleaning service. However if you can arrange to be home, especially for the initial clean this can be a good opportunity to be able to provide your housekeeper with instructions. This is also good for the purpose of giving your housekeeper a walk through of your home.
Every house or apartment is different and requires a different amount of time to clean. The two biggest factors that determine the amount of time required for cleaning are the condition and size of the home. Most clients book in the range of 2-4 hours.
The cleaning service is provided by a single housekeeper coming to your home. In some cases a team of housekeepers may do the cleaning.
Yes, you are able to arrange a time and day that suits your schedule. If your housekeeper is unavailable on the day or time that you require the cleaning service we will endeavour to arrange another housekeeper for you.
Yes you can. You can be confident that your housekeeper is a lovely person. We are very picky with the housekeepers that are accepted for registration into our agency. All of our housekeepers have been interviewed, police checked and vetted.
The housekeeper won’t hold onto keys to your home. If you won’t be home for the cleaning service you can communicate a safe location (lock box etc) on where you will leave a key for them.
Yes, you can gift anyone a house cleaning service. You can purchase house cleaning service gift cards here.
Payment needs to be made directly to the housekeeper, not to Maid to Care. Payment is due in full, on the day of the clean. Please pay you housekeeper directly via cash or EFT. The recommended payment option is cash unless the housekeeper prefers EFT.
Absolutely. If you require a receipt please request this from your housekeeper after each clean. Your housekeeper will be able to provide you with a receipt for the service they are providing.
The housekeeper will provide the products and use your equipment (vacuum and mop). It is more hygienic for the housekeeper to use your equipment.
Yes. Our goal is for your to be happy with your housekeeper. Please tell us if you would like to arrange a different housekeeper for your home. We value feedback and would like to be certain that you are completely satisfied with the service.

Maid to Care started as a husband and wife cleaning business in Melbourne. The founders focused on domestic cleaning surrounding Melbourne’s inner city suburbs. In a short time they became the preferred house housekeepers in the local communities around the inner suburbs. Not long after they were operating at full capacity with a team of housekeepers and were unable to fulfil the high demand through the referral business they were receiving from their existing clients. The founders formed Maid to Care so all clients in Melbourne could benefit from the same cleaning processes that allowed quality and consistent domestic cleaning.
